BakeMi began with myself, Mia, in the South of Portugal, where baking was never just about food — it was about family, tradition, and time spent together. From a young age, I developed a love for creating sweet treats alongside my family, learning recipes, techniques, and the joy that comes from sharing something homemade.

After moving to England, that passion didn’t fade — it evolved. BakeMi was created to bring those roots to life, combining Portuguese heritage with a modern, refined approach to baking, now based in Yorkshire.

At the heart of BakeMi are brigadeiros — a beloved Brazilian-style treat — alongside indulgent filled cookies and traditional South Portuguese cakes. Every product is handmade from start to finish, using recipes developed through a careful process of testing and refining to achieve the perfect balance of flavour and texture.

I believe great baking should be both beautiful and memorable. That’s why presentation is just as important as taste — every box is designed to look as special as the moment it’s made for.
